A blow to Huawei from Xiaomi: 4 Lawsuits at once!

In March of the past year, Huawei filed a lawsuit against Xiaomi, claiming infringement of its patents. Huawei accused Xiaomi of unauthorized use of camera, 4G, and screen unlocking technologies. Now it seems that Huawei will have to deal with a counter lawsuit.

Xiaomi files four separate lawsuits against Huawei!

Xiaomi has initiated a request for the invalidation of four Huawei patents. After the application, it is expected that both companies will appear in court on July 21st. According to the information obtained, Xiaomi is requesting the invalidation of Huawei’s patent ZL201810188201.7.

The announcement made by the China National Intellectual Property Administration states that this patent relates to the method of screen lock and mobile terminal disputes. Accordingly, Xiaomi argues that Huawei’s patent for screen lock should be invalidated.

Xiaomi announces participation of first phones in Android 14 beta test!

Xiaomi, who continues the MIUI tests based on Android 14, has announced the release of a new beta version for users.

The mentioned patent includes the feature of reflecting the last photo on the screen when the phone screen is locked and activated. The patent also hosts a system that automatically changes photos on the lock screen. If Xiaomi wins the case, Huawei will have to pay patent fees to Xiaomi to use this feature.
